SUN End of Life (EOL) & End of Service Life (EOSL) products
Evernex ensures the continuity of your SUN infrastructure with certified parts, flexible SLAs, and expert global support - well beyond OEM support.
Evernex ensures the continuity of your SUN infrastructure with certified parts, flexible SLAs, and expert global support - well beyond OEM support.
Why replace? When you can extend.
When your SUN equipment reach End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Service-Life (EOSL), the original equipment manufacturer usually stops providing technical support, patches, firmware updates, and spare parts. But your equipment can remain fully operational beyond that point.
Evernex provides multi-vendor support, rapid SLA-based intervention, and access to over 3,4 million spare parts — independent of OEM constraints. Choosing Evernex Third Party Maintenance (TPM) after EOSL means retaining control over your infrastructure, your budget, and your long-term IT roadmap.

EOSL Coverage
Oracle purchased Sun Microsystems in 2010. The merged company provides businesses across the world with reliable, scalable server solutions.
At these systems’ End of Service Life (EOSL), the manufacturer (OEM) ends all support. However, with proper TPM services, you can keep your server in top condition for years.
Evernex supports all Sun Oracle hardware products, even those past their EOSL. Server models include:
| Series | Description |
|---|---|
| ORACLE SERVER X5-series | High-performance, optimized for in-memory computing using Intel Xeon processors. |
| ORACLE SERVER X6-series | High memory capacity and integrated flash for faster analytics. |
| ORACLE SERVER X7-series | Combines Intel Xeon Scalable processors with enhanced security and I/O capabilities. |
| SPARC M-series | High-end servers with extreme scalability, RAS features, and performance. |
| SPARC T3-series | Features Oracle’s CMT architecture, offering high throughput and multithreading. |
| SPARC T4-series | Offers enhanced single-thread performance and integrated cryptographic acceleration. |
| SPARC T5-series | Combines high core count and memory bandwidth, allowing for application consolidation. |

Sun was a significant provider of storage and server solutions before its purchase by Oracle. Since then, Oracle has used Sun's collection to build a solid range of enterprise storage devices.
When storage products reach their EOSL, businesses may face risks to their data security, operational efficiency and legal compliance. Evernex supports legacy and post-EOSL Sun Oracle storage devices, keeping your business data safe and compliant:
| Series | Description |
|---|---|
| StoreEdge 99x Systems | SAN storage systems with redundant controllers, cache memory, advanced storage virtualization features and RAID configurations. |
| Storage / Storage Tek 6000 Arrays | Fibre Channel SAN storage featuring RAID support. |
| Storage 2500 Arrays | Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN storage arrays with RAID, dual-controller options, hot-swappable components. |
| Storage J4000 | JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) and direct-attached storage (DAS) with SAS/SATA drives. |
| StoreEdge 3000 Arrays | SCSI or Fibre Channel disk arrays with hot-swappable drives, RAID and (in some models) redundant controllers. |
Oracle’s tape library range provides scalable, secure offline storage for back-up and data archiving.
To keep your business’s data safe and legally compliant, it is vital for the storage device to receive regular, specialized support. Evernex’s IT lifecycle management solutions provide top-quality support for all Sun Oracle tape libraries, even post-EOSL. The main lines we support include:
| Series | Description |
|---|---|
| StoreEdge Lxxxx | Legacy Sun tape libraries and autoloaders. |
| StorageTek Lxxx | Reliable tape libraries with scalable capacity for automated backup and recovery. |
| StorageTek SL8500 / SL3000 | Modular tape libraries providing massive scalability, high data availability and integration. |
| StorageTek SL150 | Entry-level tape storage allowing for modular expansion. |
| T10000, 9840, 9940 Tape Drives | High-performance drives offering rapid access and high capacity. |
| LTO, DAT, DLT, SDLT Tape Drives | Oracle-supported, industry-standard tape drives for varied scales of data backup. |
